To Stew, Heidi, and the rest of the cast and crew,

As a long-time fan of TNP, I find it amazing and thrilling that an indie rocker made it all the way to Broadway. My wife and I got to see your show this spring and enjoyed it thoroughly, but I felt strangely restrained somehow when sitting in the audience. Broadway is still not a rock club, I guess. It took me a while to figure out that “Arlington Hill” predated PS (as did another song or tow, right?) – those songs stuck with me for days.

I’m listening to the cast album right now – ironic that it came out just as the show closed. I will be adding a number of songs to the rotation of my Live365 station because more people need to hear them. The songs stand both alone and together.

Sorry that PS couldn’t stick around but if there’s a DVD release, I’m buying it!

I look forward to your next musical move.

Hey Stew,

Sad I couldn’t make it to the show. Patty and Kim gushed much love and appreciation about your show (listened to your records after and remembered old times – good times) anyway SO happy for your amazing road to the bright light. Have pic of you and Heidi on my photography website (hope that’s ok) have an old pic of you and Bebe from the same shoot too if you want me to send it to you (just email me). Anyway cheers and hope you come back to LA to visit and play. Say hi to Heidi for me!

Stew, I don’t know how to get ahold of you any other way. But I want to contact you and/or your management about the possibilities of you, TNP, or some version of TNP participating in the 2009 meetings of the American Studies Association in Wash DC. If you could have whoever does this work for you write to me, I would love to discuss the possibilities.

The best Art takes your life and hands it back to you in a big messy lump. The questions, though they may increase in number, at least are sharper, more articulate than they’ve ever been.

And somehow, because of Art, the answers *feel* possible.

so i downloaded the PS album and i listened to it like 5 times straight, I think. I’ll save my compliments because there are far more erudite and clever writers who have gave yall plenty of them, as they are well deserved. I just can’t figure out why I relate to the story so much.

Arrrrrggggghhhh.

Stew, Heidi,

I don’t know if you remember me–Marci from San Diego. Plant
biologist–used to always go see you guys at Java Joe’s in Ocean Beach.

We are planning to head back east to see my parents the second week
of August, so of course we were going to swing by the Belasco and
catch a show.

Except…except…

I’m so sorry that the show is closing, and bitterly disappointed that
we will not have a chance to see it in its original run. I’m glad that Spike Lee is filming it
and look forward to seeing the movie, but it won’t be the same.

Looking forward to your next project.

Once again, I’m sorry, but so thrilled that you guys hit the (really
really) big time and garnered such glowing reviews and prestigious
awards.

Stew. these girls, age 8 and 5 are my favorite super fans, so far!! I have met them and their cool Dad, and they are coming to the last show. The five year old, Lucy, will probably be screaming ‘ROCK SHOW AT THE BELASCO!!! ROCK SHOW AT THE BELASCO!! while jumping up and down wildly on her booster cushion.
